Chikkamma

The story is set in Melkote, one of the most beautiful locations situated on the banks of the River Cauvery. Ramu (Vijay Kashi) and Krishna (Ashok Hegde) are very close pals. Ramu lives alone with his little daughter Kaveri (Vidyashree). One day while performing rituals for his wife's death anniversary, Ramu finds a woman; who is later identified as Sharadha (D.R. Uma Shankari). She starts a new life with Ramu and his daughter Kaveri. Later they move on to Bengaluru to start a garments manufacturing unit and it gets great acclaim with the help of Rajeshwari (Hamsa).

As days pass by, Rajeshwari eventually falls in love with Ramu. But he declines her proposal as he is already married to Sharadha. A dejected Rajeshwari plans to take revenge on Ramu and as a first step to her plan she marries Ramu's best friend Krishna with the help of her uncle Balu (Manjunath Hegde).

Does Rajeshwari succeed in avenging on Ramu. What is the shady past of Sharadha and how she landed up in Melkote forms the rest of the plot which culminates into a gripping and eventful climax.
