Anand rao is a widower with three sons & only one lovable daughter “Chittamma.” His sister Rajamma is a widow with three sons & three daughters. She stays with Anand rao’s family. Anand rao being a sole breadwinner of a joint family faces tough time to run his family with a meager salary. Yet, he is very affectionate with everyone. He never throws tantrum at anybody & has a positive approach towards life. One fine day, Anand rao’s family migrates for a better life.

Thavityya is a taciturn man and a close-buddy of Anand rao, accompanies him . He stands beside Anand rao during the worst phase of Anand rao’s life. Thavityya is a great cook who is especially well known for his delicious recipes. They decide to open a roadside motel named Chittamma hotel. Anand rao invests the money for their motel business. And Thavityya works as a Chef in the motel. Due to Thavityya’s culinary skills, Chittamma hotel becomes popular over the night. They do a decent profit in their business.

Anand rao wants to entrepreneur for a new Hotel business. He asks Thavityya to invest some money for the new Hotel business. But Thavityya doesn’t want to risk him and loss the money. Anand rao strives to find the money for his investment. At this situation, Rajamma lends her jewels Anand rao and helps him financially. He invests the money and expands/develops his business. Over a short period he becomes wealthy. In today’s world Chittamma Hotel are one of the leading Hotels with many branches around.

Thavityya feels that Anand rao’s tremendous growth in Hotel Industry is all because of his hard work. He nurses grudges against Anand rao still continuous to work in Chittamma Hotel as a supervising chef for a monthly salary.

Anand rao turns to be old and now wants his sons to take over the business. But his sons refuse to take over this hug responsibility. Due to this, Anand rao decides to divide his properties within his family and offers a major share to his sister Rajamma who helped him to start the business. Thavityya’s last hope is to attain Anand rao’s property by getting his daughter Kayal married to Varaprasad. But Rajamma requests Anand rao to get his daughter Chittamma married to her son Varaprasad in order to retain the property within their family. Rajamma feels delighted to have Chittamma as her daughter-in-law. Moreover Chittamma has the charisma to maintain the joint family. Chittamma marries Varaprasad. Thavityya’s only hope to retrieve Anand rao’s money becomes a failure. Thavityya schemes a silent trap to make Anand rao’s business fall and separate the family.

According to Thavityya’s diabolical plan the rift starts between both families and Anand rao moves away from his sister’s family. Thavityya murders Rajamma and he very cleverly traps into this murder. Anand rao is wrongly convicted and sent to Jail. Everyone blames Chittamma for the rift caused in the family and Varaprasad sends her away from the house. The mean while Madavi poisons Gantaiya’s mind and separates the beautiful relationship between the brother and sister. Chittamma is thrown away by both her families.

Chittamma insists CBCID to investigate Rajamma’s murder case. With the help of CBCID, Chittamma proves that Thavityya as a convict. Now Anand rao is released from Prison with much difficulty of Chittamma. But Anand rao’s son by forced takes him to their house. Now Chittamma being left alone starts a small canteen with the little money she has through her jewels. She faces many hurdles to succeed in life and unit the families together.
