After the massive hit in Tamil, Radaan Mediaworks moved to Hindi to remake Chithi as Chottima. The main role which was played by Radikaa Sarathkumar was done by Vaishnavi Mahant a famous actress in Hindi television industry. She adorned the dual role of Sharada and Shakthi. As Radikaa Sarathkumar did the original narrative in Tamil, she gave few tips for Vaishnavi Mahant on carrying the role with ease. This helped her to get the perfect characterization. Chottima also made a mark in the Hindi television industry.

Chottima is a saga of a woman who chances upon a lot of odds and at the end, she emerges to be a strong, self-reliant and confident person. Vaishnavi Mahant adorns a dual role, in one she is Sharada, a caring wife and a kind step mother for her husband’s child. She starts a garment manufacturing unit which gets a great acclaim. Sharada’s past life, in which she was an IAS officer, was always under cover. Her twin sister was an IPS officer, which was also played by Vaishnavi Mahant. Her father faces some problem due to his daughter Sharada and plans for her to be shot dead. Later, Sharada’s husband and his best friend plan to exchange their babies in order that their friendship will be prolonged for yet another life time through the lives of their children. What happens when the children come to know the truth forms the rest of the story?
