Leading film personalities from India, led by music director A.R.Rahman & filmmaker Yash Chopra, Attended the inaugural Indian Film Festival 2003 held on the 30th of November at GENTING HIGHLANDS - Kualalumpur. Ajay Devgan, Sarathkumar, Radika, vasundhara Das, Gayathri Jeyaram and Isha Kopikkar were among those who attended the show.Indian information and Broadcasting minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said there were many opportunities for India and Malaysia to work together for films.

Nine hundred films in 30 languages are produced in the subcontinent annually. Dancers from the temple of Fine Arts Malaysia staged a presentation. The show was live telecast in ASTRO VANAVIL Channel. Radaan had been the event co-ordinator for this show Indian Film Festival
