Radaan Mediaworks India Limited launched Mega Thanga Vaettai, after the grand success of Thanga Vaettai. This show was hosted by Kaniha, a young talented actress who has acted in many films including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. She was second runner up in the beauty pageant Miss. Chennai 2001. Mega Thanga Vaettai was more exciting and fun filled, with lots of gold and many other gifts offered to the contestants. The set was more grandeur, sophisticated, massive and luxurious.

Every contestant who participated in the show never returned empty-handed. Mega Thanga Vaettai promised gold or gifts to all its participants and viewers. This show was later hosted by Urvashi, a well known actress who has acted in more than 200 films in all South Indian languages. Her sense of humor and friendly approach made the participants feel comfortable.
