SENTHOORA POOVE
The story revolves around Kasi and Subbaiah, the duo, closely bonded by friendship. Deenadayalan who has a long rooted vengeance against their families, enters their lives as an element of hindrance. He conspires and looks forward to an opportunity to eliminate them. Kasi possesses a jasmine garden. Gokulakrishnan, an industrialist who has a plan of establishing an industry in the village, approaches Kasi to acquire the garden for millions. The issue of selling the garden creates havoc in Kasi’s family. To add to the trauma, Kasi dies mysteriously and the blame falls on Subbaiah. Both the families of friends stay separated.
Punitha, the eldest daughter of Kasi starts up with a desire to solve the problems that affect both the families. She is subjected to various hurdles in her endeavor. At a stage, her own family becomes hostile towards her. Then she comes to know that she is the daughter of the village landlord and due to her stepmother’s biased treatment, she was handed over to Kasi when she was a child. Her stepmother Parameshwari conspires to eliminate her for the sake of property in her name. Listening to the malicious talks of her mother, Punitha’s younger sister too, gives her all sorts of troubles. She gets affected in all ways and to add to her ordeals, Vikram, a village thug knits a cruel net for her with a mean desire.
Punitha gets vigorous in her task to tear the masks of the wicked ones and to reunite the hearts that were living as the birds of a tree. How she tackles with the hurdles forms the rest of the storyline. Eminent actor Visu portrays the character of Subbaiah and ‘Jagan Mohini’ fame Narasimharaju takes up the character of Kasi. Ranjani Krishnan as Punitha and Yuvarani (‘Chithi’ fame) as Parameshwari, the vamp excel in their roles. The star cast include Ajay, Afsar and Kaushik in important characters.
For the main story written by the Malaysian author Mangal Gowri, screenplay is written by ‘Metti oli’ Muthuchelavan. Dialogues are penned by Vasubharathi. Kiran scores the background music for this tele-serial produced by Radaan Media Works India Ltd. and directed by Prarameshwar.
